I've just been a little distracted in the last few days. Bad blogger. I'm glad to evoke some state fair memories, though. The cheese curds were wonderful as was the foamy beer. I guess that the state fair has similarities with the English seaside culture that I grew up with except that it's cheese instead of fish n chips. I think that booking Sonic Youth and the Flaming Lips was a pretty great move on the past of the organizers. It's usually middle of the road stuff. I remember way, way back, I went into the haunted house and was assisted out; I was so scared my knees buckled completely. I was told by security guards that I was probably the first to have been scared out of my wits at a Minnesota State Fair haunted house, if you discount the elderly with heart attacks!!
